Tinarie creations is a Culminating Life Event. I am telling the story of my life through my artwork; designing and creating wearable art and images.
People have told me that I should write my story. I decided to start telling it one person at a time, with my art, after a serious injury which felt like the end to my world. I held on and used my art as therapy to move myself positively and productively forward. I hope in telling my story and how I have overcome tragedy in my life, others will know and believe they can too!
A little background; I learned photography from my mother at age 10, she was an artist. In fact, 4th generation artist. I began sewing around 12. I didn’t have clothes like the other girls, so I took clothes out of a donation box and remade them. I happened to go to modeling school and beautician college by age 17. All these things come together in my culminating, self-transforming creations. I can’t wait to bring all my visions into existence.
